International Residential Code (IRC)

When the IRC applies to your shelter

If your county has adopted the IRC with Appendix AQ, your permit reviewer will require an ICC 500 test report for the shelter unit and a producer-supplied installation detail. Some Oklahoma and Texas counties have not adopted AQ, so enforcement varies.
